Verdelle grew up in South Africa during Apartheid. This has shaped her painting style and influences the subject matter she chooses for her paintings. Verdelle has termed her painting style as "Blissful Art" with a mission to arouse warmth, happiness and tranquility. Verdelle's hope is that by creating blissful and benevolent feelings in her painting, people will recognize these feeling in themselves. Verdelle works in all painting mediums and has numerous credits in the art world, she is an accomplished muralist, with a rendition of the Sistine chapel to her credit.
Verdelle has recently completed several new painting series. 
The first series is "Verdelle - on the Body". This nude series consists
of gray scale and sepia tone nudes in acrylic on canvas.
